Ink on Paper

Visited show today by Taiwanese artist and calligrapher, Tsai Yu Long.

Last new years eve the artist felt a new energy and started covering the walls and ceilings of his studio with ink writings. His solo show at M99 at Mogan Shan district shows the wall writings as well as some large scale paper based works.

Before I left for Shanghai I had seen some ink on paper works from Chinese artists at Michael Goedhuis on Dover Street. It was great to see some more works in Shanghai by Deng Guoyuan, Xujiang and Qui Deshu.
